I’m Tom Lynton. I specialise in graphic design, web design, branding, advertising, marketing, editorial & magazine design.
I have gained a wide range of experience over 12 years of self-employment and in full-time jobs prior to that. Freelancing brings me responsibility and the opportunity to work directly with my clients.
I am passionate about design and love to diversify and improve my skills with challenging new briefs.
I work with my clients personally so I quickly get a good feel for the work. I will suggest ideas that won’t have occurred to you and I will show you new and better ways of promoting your business or project. I can help organise thoughts, ideas and even copy.
Freelancing allows me to work in a wide range of business sectors, giving me fresh ideas. Most of my new clients are gained via referral – a reflection of how happy my clients are with my work.
The benefit of using a freelance designer over an agency is that you will often get the same standard of work for a fraction of the price.
We will also be able to work closely and share ideas on a more personal level. I always make sure I am easy to contact and provide a one-to-one service, which can be hard to come by when working with an agency.
All of my work is produced to the highest possible standard and is driven by creative thinking.
Your design needs to look good. The possibilities are endless but a good design will create interest, trust and guide viewers through.
If a visitor is confused by a web site or brochure they will not look again. You need to make a good, clear impression very quickly.
I can ensure timely responses, quick turnarounds, and direct action. This helps makes it a pleasant process, working together to meet your needs, beyond your expectations.
I use Adobe’s Creative Cloud software to create images and graphics, form print layouts and web sites. I sometimes use other software for more highly specified design but I can always supply you with work that printers and others will be able to work from easily.
However, nothing beats pencil, paper and imagination for realising ideas!
I usually utilise the Bootstrap framework to take advantage of its responsive features and plugins.
I am a front-end designer always working with an eye on user interface (UI) and user experience (UX). I am not a Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) specialist but I do have a lot of experience in that area and I should be able to boost your ranking before you need to start paying for Adwords.
Here are some of my favourite designs. Take a look around: you will find magazines, websites, corporate brochures and reports, branding and illustration. Click on the thumbnails to see the design in full.
